This is a Victorian based walking club for people who are interested in enjoying the outdoors, botany, geology, nature photography, painting, good company and of course walking.
We have complete one of our planned walks and it was great. 17 people came to the walk. 12 members and 5 guests. The walk was approximately 10 to 12 kms. We walked along the bike track, detour to the left and right where there where lovely little walks within the wetlands. Some were wet others not so. Some of the walks then crossed the creek via rocks and some via the foot bridge. Weather stayed dry all day and was a bit humid. We were treated to 3 black yellow tailed cockatoos flying around and squawking. A site to be seen. Had lunch at a nice little spot looking over Dandenong Creek. Time to head back after lunch. Headed back the same way we came. Got back to the cars and had a cuppa. Everyone enjoyed the walk. Next walk April.
Great variety of easy walks in the recent newsletter. Looking forward to joining you all.
