Mount Dandenong looms quietly over the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. As the fog lifted in the morning light, we met on the mountain's summit for an adventurous traverse of the western flank to rendezvous at Doongalla Homestead for lunch.
This is a Victorian based walking club for people who are interested in enjoying the outdoors, botany, geology, nature photography, painting, good company and of course walking.

Gardiner's Creek Trail, Markham Reserve to Canterbury Road and return.
Today, the Walkabouters wandered along the Gardiner's Creek trail through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Gardiner's Creek flows from Blackburn Lake in a south-westerly direction through the suburbs of Box Hill South, Burwood and Ashburton. In the suburb of East Malvern, Scotchman's Creek joins Gardiner's Creek before it continues it journey, now north-westerly, towards it's confluence with the Yarra River in Hawthorn.
