About the Walkabouters

The Walkabouter's Club of Victoria Inc. has been established for about 42 years and has a membership of more than 50 walkers ranging in ages from late 20's to the mid 80's.

As well as walking, members' interests include photography, painting, botany and geology.

Monthly walks between April and November are held around Melbourne and out in country Victoria.

Camps during Autumn and Spring are located in caravan parks with a choice of cabins or tent sites.

Our Summer camp, early in January, is held in ski-lodge accommodation in the Alps of Victoria and NSW.

From these base camps we enjoy day walks after which we socialize and share out interests.

Walks are planned and led by experienced leaders, and range from 10-15 kilometres.

You don't have to be an experienced walker to join our club.

A Committee made up of club members co-ordinate and plan the walks and camps and newsletter is published to inform all members of walks and forthcoming camps.
