We headed off from the lodge at 9.30 along the short cut to the start of the Porcupine Rocks Trail.
The trail lead us through the Rocky Creek Valley which was lined with skeletons of burnt snow gums and giant boulders which made a dramatic landscape.
Tiny native flowers barely visible dotted our path through the Alpine bog.
|Where are we??|
|Here we are!!|
We enjoyed wonderful views of the Valley towards Jindabyne at lunchtime.
The we turned headed back down the mountain
past more sculptures,
more tiny plants,
Then suddenly there was a coffee shop! Fancy that!!
A great way to end our first day's walk!!
